Well, what everyone else knows, at least.
As far as he knows, Badagar was born on the planet Bortras. At some point in time, he wound up in the Unkown Regions and was discovered by a New Republic Exploration and Survey Expedition. While on this planet in the Unknown Regions, he was found by Kangurvok, a large, furry, 6-limbed creature. Kang "adopted" Badagar into his 'pack', for reasons known only to them. Kang taught Badagar survival skills and protected him. He called Jorca 'little star hunter'. The name "Badagar" is taken from Kang's words for 'star hunter'. Jorca was chosen as a first name by Badagar, but he rarely uses it. His real name is a well-kept secret.
The New Republic Expidition ran medical tests on Bodagar and immediately took custody of the boy. When Jedi Master Luke Skywalker was informed of the boy, he quickly and secretly had him transferred to Yavin 4 to be trained in the Force. Kang refused to be parted from Badagar and went with him. Badagar was 12 at the time.
Badagar is now 16 years old and has spent the last few years learning "civilized behaviour" and improving his Force-skills.
